Hello tranquillity!

Snow crunches beneath your skis. The air is crystal clear, the view of the mountain giants in front of you fantastic. Ascend one of 74 three-thousand-metre peaks in the Silvretta Group, which offer ski tourers an infinite variety of tours on untracked slopes from November to May. Equipment is available in the local ski schools whilst experienced ski tour guides ensure an intensive, carefree outdoor experience.

Action meets mountain-hut fun

With a length of 7 km and 950 metres in altitude, the night toboggan run in Ischgl is one of the longest runs in Austria. On special tobogganing evenings from mid-December to the beginning of April, the tobogganing run from the Silvrettabahn mountain station down to Ischgl at 2,320 m is floodlit. Those who like it hearty can stop by the Idalp to experience the rustic magic of a mountain restaurant. Tip: On the toboggan runs in Kappl and See, you can also indulge in tobogganing fun during the day.

Healthy total-body training

Paznaun is one of the top cross-country skiing regions in Tyrol and rightly calls itself the “Tyrolean cross-country skiing specialist.” The 70 km network of trails between 1,377 and 2,040 m altitude will delight pleasure runners and endurance freaks. This guarantees best conditions from the beginning of December until far into spring. The highlight is the Bielerhöhe high-altitude cross-country ski run from Galtür to the Silvretta reservoir, which rewards those in good physical shape with dreamy high-alpine panoramas. Numerous cross-country trail starting points, cross-country courses and individual advice in the ski schools make your cross-country skiing holiday in Ischgl perfect.

Just breathe deeply

On the prepared and marked winter hiking trails through the Ischgl mountain world, several positive effects can be seen at once: The gentle movement in nature is healthy, keeps you fit and clears your head wonderfully. For example, you can hike the wildly romantic route to Mathon, through the Trisanna Gorge or in many serpentines up to the Friedrichshafen Hut. Adventurous people try the guided cross-country variation with snowshoes.

Trot through the valley

What could be more romantic than to glide through the snowy mountain landscape on a horse-drawn sleigh? Numerous options are available: e.g. head for a smaller round near Ischgl or head up to Galtür. The 2 horsepower excursion will awaken nostalgic feelings with a hint of the sublime. Explore Paznaun as a couple or invite the whole royal family along!
