Beginners are advised to hire a mountain guide while ascending the Greitspitz and Flimspitz mountains via two thrilling fixed rope routes. Even for experts, there are plenty of challenges in store. One of the best bouldering areas in the Tyrolean Oberland is situated high above Galtür. A family via ferrata, a bouldering wall in the Alpinarium and two climbing gardens in the Jamtalhütte and Heidelbergerhütte mountain huts complete the broad range of climbing offers in Paznaun.

On the small (11.2 km), medium (29.9 km) and hard (42.19 km) routes, mountain runners can train against the background of an impressive natural setting. Endurance sports at this altitude increase fitness and are the optimal preparation for the legendary Silvrettarun 3000, which takes place every year in July.

Combine your hiking holiday in Ischgl with a game of golf. Numerous golf clubs, such as the Hochmontafon Silvretta, Montafon, Bludenz-Braz, Brand, Tiroler Zugspitzgolf, Mieminger Plateau or Seefeld-Wildmoos courses, are located within a radius of less than 100 km. The 18-hole mini-golf course with Pit Pat in Ischgl is also great fun for little ones.

In water-rich Paznaun, patience pays off when you net a brown trout or char from the crystal clear waters. At the Trisanna river and the Schwarzwassersee lake in the Fimba valley, beginners and advanced anglers can try their luck in the fish-rich waters against a stunning mountain backdrop. Even when the fish aren’t biting, the views are incredible!

The Alpinarium Galtür, part of an avalanche protection wall, is a multi-award-winning information, documentation and exhibition centre that illuminates the relationship between man and nature in the Alpine region.

Biking

Motorradfahren auf der Silvretta Hochalpenstraße

Hit the road! Complete the 22.3-km-long pass road between Galtür and Partenen in Montafon. E-bikers and traditional cyclists alike head up to the highest point on the Bielerhöhe (2,032 m) via 34 hairpin bends and an up to 1% gradient. It is a dream Alpine road with fascinating mountain panoramas and countless highlights along the way.
