A few hiking suggestions and hiking tours in Ischgl:
Family hike to Berglisee:
We travel on the hotel bus to Lareinalpe – starting point for the approximately 1 ½ to 2-hour summit hike to Berglisee, where we take a break and organise a little barbecue.
Afterwards there is an approximately 2 hour valley hike to Mathon. The hotel bus collects us again there.
Smuggler’s tour to Samnaun:
Ascent by Silvretta cable car to the Idalpe. Ascent to the Palinkopf and walk across the Zeblas meadows to Samnaun (Switzerland). In this toll-exempt area there are lots of opportunities to do some shopping. Back by Samnaun Mountain Railways to Alp Trida. We reach Idjoch (Austrian border) by chair lift. Descent to Idalpe or Ischgl.
This tour can also be made easier for non-hikers by using the cable car and the chair lifts, or even get out of the train and walk for a bit.
Culinary pilgrimage:
Since last summer Tirol‘s Paznaun region has brought award-winning cuisine to the Alpine regions. Four international star chefs provide regional dishes and produce for gourmet pleasure in various Alpine lodges in the region. Throughout the whole of the Alpine summer creations will then be offered in the lodges.
