Martin Sieberer, 39, is Tyrol’s most decorated chef. Since 1998 he has been awarded three toques and since 2005 a Michelin star. In 2000 he was appointed Austria's Chef of the Year. Sieberer is considered one of the most innovative culinary artists in Europe. Since 1996 the Tyrolean shows his culinary excellence as a chef in Ischgl's only 5-star hotel, the Trofana Royal. Sieberer’s Paznaunerstube is a fixture is for gourmets.
And the winner is...
Just 28 years old, in 1996 Martin Sieberer is appointed chef at the "Trofana Royal. In 1998 Gault Millau awards him 2 toques and the title of "Newcomer of the Year." In 1999 he obtains his third Gault-Millau toque. In 2000 Martin Sieberer is appointed "Chef of the Year". He publishes his first cookbook in 2001. Two more books follow.
In 2004 and 2005, Sieberer is again awarded 3 Gault-Millau toques (18 points). Michelin awards him a star, À LA CARTE rates his cuisine with 4 stars (95 points) and the VIP Gourmet Guide with 94 of 100 possible points. Other highlights are his television appearances in Austria's most popular cooking show "Freshly cooked is half won." In 2005 he is appointed Lufthansa Star Chef and pampers Business and First Class passengers on long-haul flights with his creations.
